Gregor: a free adaptation of Franz Kafka's "Metamorphosis"
April-May 2016
The Access Theater, New York
Directed by William Steinberger. Featuring Marisa Brau, Michael Calciano, Melissa Cesarano, and Andreas Damm. Created by William Steinberger and the whole InVersion crew
Gregor is a young college grad with a liberal arts degree, student loans, a family he adores, a job he despises, and a dream. Then one day he wakes up and he’s a cockroach.
This tale of family, labor, and arthropods is brought to you by an intergalactic troupe of actor-bureaucrats guaranteed to show you a rollicking good time. Get ready for a vaudevillian romp replete with drunk puppets, accents of dubious Continental origin, the Bitcoin market, inept parents (who mean well!), AirBnB guests from hell, and so much more.
Ring in THE METAMORPHOSIS’ 100th-ish birthday with the InVersion crew. GREGOR plays April 28th - May 8th, 2016, at the Access Theater in Tribeca before blasting back to outer space. We’ll be the ones with the giant bug and the gold coins raining from the ceiling.
